The Khazanah Nasional Entrepreneurship Outreach is a programme
initiated by Khazanah Nasional aimed to unearth entrepreneurial talent in
Malaysia while equipping them with vital training and industry information via a
series of bootcamp and accelerator programmes.

and/or institutional investors.
All teams selected to Acceleration stage will receive RM20,000 each in exchange for a 2% stake

accepted into the Accelerator stage, you'll be offered funding in

Only the founder(s) of the team is required to be a Malaysian. The co-founding team member/s can consist of non-Malaysians.
No. As long as you are a Malaysian citizen, you are eligible (minimum of
2 persons per team). You don't need to incorporate a company to make
a submission. However, if you're accepted into the Acceleration stage,
you will be required to incorporate a company to receive our funding in
exchange for equity.
No. The programme only accepts startups with a minimum of 2 team
members. In our experience working with solo founder, it is very rare to
see solo founders successful in executing an idea by themselves.
Yes, you can submit up to 3 ideas but only one idea can be selected to
move on to pitch.

You are required to go through the Selection (1 day), Incubation (5 full
days), Acceleration (13 weeks full-time) and Demo Day (1 day). The

No, it doesn't need to be a tech Startup idea. Your Startup can also be either non-tech or social enterprise ideas.

We actually prefer team members from different backgrounds. Please remember you are not going for a party or holiday – so don't form teams just because you are friends. Each team member needs to bring a different and unique skillset in order to grow the Startup idea from point A to point B. At this early stage we limit the number of team members to two minimum.
It is a pitching session where teams are required to present their business idea within limited time provided and answer questions by the judges.
Of course. We want to see who we are going to be working with.
The selection consists of a 5-minute pitching and 5-minute Q&A session. You are required to have a simple 10-page maximum pitch deck/presentation to support your pitching.
You just need to bring your best performance on the day with your co-founding team. If you have submitted your documents earlier to us, then we'll have all the files ready to present on the screen.
We will contact you or your team member via e-mail or call if your team is selected.
We call it 5-day Bootcamp, straight from morning to midnight where selected 90 startups will prove that their problem statements and solution hypothesis are true.
Teams will work from 9am to midnight for 5 days in a row. This is the period where we test how well startup teams are working under intensity and pressure with each other.
At the Acceleration stage we want the best startup and its co-founding team members. The creme de la creme. This is the stage where we select the final 30 teams to go through. Bring your A game.
The Accelerator partners will decide among themselves on which teams to be selected, as the partners' programmes are designed differently to provide the best value that caters to different stages and categories of startups.
You are required to participate in this acceleration programme full-time. At 100% participation and 100% focus.
The programme is designed so that you can have hands-on experience with certain remote elements. All co-founding selected team members must be physically present to attend the programme.
The venue will be different depending on which Accelerator partner you are assigned to.
That's up to you,we do not provide accommodation. We suggest that you arrange your accommodation with convenient transportation access.

Demo Day is like the final exam at the end of the programme. Companies, investors, mentors and the community come together to review the progress that companies made and to celebrate their hard work.
