No. As long as you are a Malaysian citizen, you are eligible (minimum of 2 persons per team). You don't need to incorporate a company to make a submission. However, if you're accepted into the Acceleration stage, you will be required to incorporate a company to receive our funding in exchange for equity.

No. The programme only accepts startups with a minimum of 2 team members. In our experience working with solo founder, it is very rare to see solo founders successful in executing an idea by themselves.

Yes, you can submit up to 3 ideas but only one idea can be selected to move on to pitch.

The programme is open to 3 categories; tech, non-tech and social enterprise.
1. Tech – startups creating technological products/services, delivered through software, hardware or both
2. Non-tech – startups bringing physical consumer products/services to market that may or may not use technology as delivery tools
3. Social enterprise – startups applying market-driven approach to address basic unmet needs, solve social problem or tackle environmental issues

The programme is designed to cater to all stages of startups; ideation, validation, scale-up and growth.

You are required to go through the Selection (1 day), Incubation (5 full days), Acceleration (13 weeks full-time) and Demo Day (1 day). The programme is structured like a funnel with the most suitable teams being chosen at each stage to move on to the next activity. Please refer to the programme details for more information. We find the best results working with founding team who are 100% committed and 100% focus to giving their all.

We believe that great Startups are made from 1% ideation + 99% perspiration. We also believe that 100% of the global population have ideas, but only 1% do something about them. The teams at, WTF and 1337 Ventures have seen and listened to countless ideas. When you pitch your idea to us, there is a good chance we have heard a similar one already. No one aims to steal your idea, we support your early execution.

Innovation is NOT invention. Apple was not the first to create the smartphones or tablets but yet they are known to be innovative. There's a common belief, that a business in order to be successful needs to be built around a unique idea. The truth is Google wasn't the first search engine and Facebook wasn't the first social network platform.

No. If you cannot make it for the entire programme, then do not take up the seat and please let someone else have it. We want to see 100% passion and 100% committed teams in our programme.

No, it doesn't need to be a tech Startup idea. Your Startup can also be either non-tech or social enterprise ideas.

Yes. Why not? The unique part about the Code, WTF and 1337 Ventures powered programme is that we have the network and experience to grow and scale your startup idea regionally (if not globally).

"Failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently" – Henry Ford. You become a better person. Your probability of starting your next startup is closer to success.

We actually prefer team members from different backgrounds. Please remember you are not going for a party or holiday – so don't form teams just because you are friends. Each team member needs to bring a different and unique skillset in order to grow the Startup idea from point A to point B. At this early stage we limit the number of team members to two minimum.

It is a pitching session where teams are required to present their business idea within limited time provided and answer questions by the judges.

Of course. We want to see who we are going to be working with.

The selection consists of a 5-minute pitching and 5-minute Q&A session. You are required to have a simple 10-page maximum pitch deck/presentation to support your pitching.

You just need to bring your best performance on the day with your co-founding team. If you have submitted your documents earlier to us, then we'll have all the files ready to present on the screen.

We will contact you or your team member via e-mail or call if your team is selected.

We call it 5-day Bootcamp, straight from morning to midnight where selected 90 startups will prove that their problem statements and solution hypothesis are true.

Teams will work from 9am to midnight for 5 days in a row. This is the period where we test how well startup teams are working under intensity and pressure with each other.

At the Acceleration stage we want the best startup and its co-founding team members. The creme de la creme. This is the stage where we select the final 30 teams to go through. Bring your A game.

The Accelerator partners will decide among themselves on which teams to be selected, as the partners' programmes are designed differently to provide the best value that caters to different stages and categories of startups.

You are required to participate in this acceleration programme full-time. At 100% participation and 100% focus.

The programme is designed so that you can have hands-on experience with certain remote elements. All co-founding selected team members must be physically present to attend the programme.

The venue will be different depending on which Accelerator partner you are assigned to.

That's up to you,we do not provide accommodation. We suggest that you arrange your accommodation with convenient transportation access.

You will get RM20,000 mobilization grant upon selection into the Acceleration stage for a 2% stake of your startup in exchange. The top 3 teams at the end of the programme will receive prize money of RM30,000.

Demo Day is like the final exam at the end of the programme. Companies, investors, mentors and the community come together to review the progress that companies made and to celebrate their hard work.

At the end of KNEO programme, which will be in May 2018. Exact date is to be announced later to the selected teams.

It'll be announced nearer to the end of the programme in 2018.
